The centerpiece of the stadium is the Lambeau Field Atrium, a 366,000 square foot, five-story structure. In order to monitor thi large-scale filed, the authorities decided to adopt the hybrid surveillance system to support security personnel guard the stadium. Replacing the previous system, which was not meeting the needs of the facility with no ability to expand, insufficient storage, and poor picture quality. Our hybrid option allowed them to use their existing analog cameras along with the expansion of IP cameras.
The new hybrid surveillance system has increased the video quality from 5-15 frames per second and utilizes a low bandwidth and stoarge size in order to improve the storage capabilities from 1 day to 2 months. The surveillance system manages 150 cameras, including 70 IP cameras, through HVR virtual matrix to 5 LCD monitors, which provide security personnel with real time images, as well as the ability to ensure a safe environment throughout the stadium.
From the command center the security personnel can remotely control the cameras. Security personnel have the ability to pan, tilt, and zoom through the DVR software. This remote live view enhances the efficiency and improves the ability to control incidents and instantly respond to any situation. Central Monitoring Software allows Lambeau Field to acheive an overall security solution with a stable and open platform. The system allows for unlimited client access, embedded remote playback, and 10 instant notification options.
