Outdoor Surveillance Camera Housings
Choosing the correct outdoor camera housing for your application can be difficult. Will the camera be in harsh environmental conditions and need a heater/blower? Does the camera housing need the ability to tilt and pan? What about the ability to access the camera if needed?

Today camera housings have options such as wiper blades, heaters/blowers, pan/tilt, flip open covers, and other unique options. Remember when wiring a camera housing that is powerd to make sure and run two seperate power cables, one for the camera itself and another to power the housing. If you try to wire both the camera and housing on a single wire there is a good chance you will get interference on the DVR view.
Surveillance camera housings also come in different lengths, they can vary from 10″ up to 15″ in length. Camera housings can hold both analog and IP (Internet Protocal) cameras. However it is always recommended to check the width and length of any camera you are considering installing into a surveillance camera housing.
