“Live” Product Demo?
Everyone’s website has a section called “Live Product Demo”, right? We have it on our site too, and it’s worthless, just like every other company. Even though you can view a camera, and there are people or cars moving about, this does not help you decide if the Surveillance System or DVR Card is going do what you want it to! We had this discussion internally about a week ago, and we are doing something to make our Product Demo truly LIVE!
Sometime toward the end of July, our Product Demo will let you zoom, search for past video, change the layout, and actually give you a chance to truly “test drive” our system as though you were really there. Whenever we let a customer demo a DVR Card, we always have to follow up and ask what thought of the card and their response is always “I have not had a chance to look at it, I am busy”. We understand, I get between 6-13 emails or phone calls a day from someone overseas wanting us to carry their product. I am sure that some their products are very interesting and might save us some money, but these companies usually make it a hassle to test out their products. At PCSurveillance, we like to make things easier for you, not harder!
What we always hear from our customers is that our DVR Capture Cards are simple to use and easy to work with. Most of these customers seem to be past GeoVision customers who just want a DVR Card that can perform, without all of the hassles. Remember, just because you can understand a DVR Card, does not necessarily mean your customer will also understand your Surveillance System, which leads to a lot of handholding and wasted opportunity on your part.
